Cyclone Plumbing is a service provider for 2 year service agreements or protection plan offered by furnace manufacturers.

If your furnace has the 2 year warranty agreement is not working and needs servicing please follow the check-list (below) before calling - it may save you time and money.

Before calling for service please check the following…

Trust Cyclone Plumbing and Heating

Make sure your thermostat is set to the correct function (heating)
Confirm your furnace has power (the furnace doors are securely on; the furnace power-switch is in the ‘ON’ position; is the breaker ‘ON’ in the electrical panel)
Check to ensure your furnace filter is clean - see video below
Check the furnace intake and exhaust vents on the exterior of the home to ensure they are free of debris, snow or ice, and not blocked
If the vents are blocked, carefully clear them, and reset the power to the furnace. (see video guide for clearing vents)
The furnace should restart within a few minutes
Check to confirm the gas is turned on both locations: 1). gas meter on exterior of home 2). gas shut off at the furnace

Furnace Maintenance

The furnace should be inspected yearly by a qualified service technician

Furnace filters should be replaced every two months, or as required
Check/Inspect furnace drainage system for blockages and/or leaks
Check/Inspect furnace venting system for blockages and/or leaks
Check furnace intake and exhaust pipes on the exterior of the home regularly to ensure they are free of obstruction (snow & ice during the winter). (see video guide for clearing vents)

Goodman Furnace Warranty

Registration is not required to obtain warranty coverage, but registration entitles the owner to the Registered Additional Term Warranty described in the following paragraph.

If the unit is not registered, the warranty lasts for a period up to (1) 20 YEARS after the installation date for the heat exchanger and (2) 5 YEARS after the installation date for all other parts (the “Initial TermWarranty”).

If the unit is properly registered online within 60 days after the installation date, an additional warranty (the “Registered Additional Term Warranty”) is provided and lasts for as long as the original registered owner or his or her spouse (“registered owner”) own and reside in the home in which the unit was originally installed, (1) for the lifetime of the registered owner for the heat exchanger and (2) for a period up to 10 YEARS after the installation date for all other parts.
